Can I use underfloor heating with your pvc vinyl flooring?

Written by Paul
Overview

We are advised by our manufacturer that underfloor heating is suitable for this flooring in the following circumstances.

Question

Re: your new Waterproof Fooring. I understand the benefits of your wall panelllng for my proposed bathroom, shower-room, and wetroom (floor tiles), Waterproof flooring is an option for the bath and shower rooms. The surface will be screed laid over underfloor heating pipes. Some other rooms will have suitable tog value underlay and 'thin' carpets. Is your flooring suitable for transmitting heat? How thick is it etc? Thank You

Answer

1 Heating must be of a radiant type(electric or hydro) and be a minimum of 1/2' (12.5mm) below the surface; 2 Temperature must never exceed 60C; 3 The sub floor heating must be operational for at least a week prior to installation to calibrate the temperature.
