Can your PVC panels be used to cover the exterior of a boat cabin?
The size of the roof is approx 8ft x 12ft could you please suggest what type of PVC panels I should use. I would prefer the panels to be the normal size of 8 by 4 white, they need to be hard wearing and possible to clean with the green side of a sponge without getting scratches.
I have a boat cabin that is built of plywood. The plywood is varnished but with weather and wind this need revarnishing every couple of month to stop water ingres. I was thinking about covering the plywood with PVC but this needs to be able to be exposed to weather.
All of our panels are recommended for internal use only - this is because there is a chance of discolouring if exposed to UV. Baring this issue, we would have recommended you try our Premium grade uPVC which is plain white, 2.5mm thickness, and come in either 8x4ft or 10x4ft. I suggest that you contact us and get sample (free) of the Premium grade and perhaps put it outside of your cabin for a week or so to see if discolouring is a problem. We wouldn't recommend abrasive cleaners with any of our products but again if you had a sample you could try it out.
